Thomas Tuchel close to landing Erling Haaland at Stamford Bridge

As the blues are consistently linked with a Haaland move to England this summer, Tuchel is targeting a bolster to his forward line ahead of the 2021/22 season. Chelsea have been long linked with landing the Norwegian hitman and Thomas Tuchel wants a proactive move as soon as possible.

There have been various reports recently suggesting that the blues already agreed personal terms with the Dortmund striker and have also open bid with his current employer, Borussia Dortmund.

However, it is seemingly becoming more difficult for Thomas Tuchel's side to convince Dortmund to sell their great striking asset, not even after letting Jadon Sancho join Manchester United ahead of the new season.

Michael Zord, Borussia Dortmund sporting director has released a statement that the Bundesliga giants have decided to keep the Norwegian striker at the club for at least another season. He affirmed that nothing has changed with Erling as the club is in high gear preparation ahead of the new season.

According to Bild, Thomas Tuchel wants the striker in England immediately as he continues to plan for the 2021/22 season in a bid to better their forth-placed finish in the Premier League while also making necessary preparations viable to defend their European Champions League crown.

The Blues forward line has been major issue for the German since taking over at Chelsea mid way into the last season.

Timo Werner was hit with goal drought in his last season campaign at the Bridge whilst experienced forward, Oliver Giroud is closing in on joining AC Milan this summer.

Meanwhile, Timo Abraham is unlikely to have a future in the West London club as the he has been linked with a return to his former club, Aston Villa.
