The leader cannot afford to lose his cool or his focus. He must calm himslef down and calm people down as well.
According to the vice-president, it is in times of adversity or difficulty, or hardship that leaders are most relevant and most needed. He said, world leaders are expected to remain calm in the midst of adversity and that such composure would enable those being led follow the footsteps of their leaders.
Prof. Osibajo made this statement during the keynote address he delivered virtually at the 25th anniversary conference of the Redeemer's International Leadership Academy.
The conference organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God has its theme as, "Winning in Adversity".
Osibajo who is also an alumnus of the academy encouraged leaders, particularly Christians leaders, to act in faith and not in fear when they are faced with a crisis, especially existential crisis. This is the burden of leadership according to the principles of the scripture, he said.
Also, in attendance is Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, the Intercontinental Overseer for Corporate Social Responsibility and Pastor-in-charge, RCCG Region 20.
